...because it's been at least 3 days since I drew a girl with excessive amounts of hair....

...and because everything I'm drawing for real right now is fighting me tooth and nail I needed something just for fun.


I have this extremely visceral memory of first seeing the Hubble Deep Field images National Geographic ran in the mid-90's - I think I was 12 or so at the time - incredible visual impact and realization of just how very small we are. they remain some of the most awesome (in the original sense of the word, not the as-of-the-1980's sense of the word) images ever captured.

I saw this in my watch-list thing as i was clearing out a bunch of group deviations, and I got all excited even before I realized it was yours....it's awesome! The hair is lovely, and the concept is really well executed....I feel like whenever I try to illustrate creative/dramatic concepts like this i always fall flat on my face, but you always manage to pull them off in a way that maintains that same bad-assery that I'm sure you see in your head when you imagine them. In short, TEACH ME YOUR MAGIC!

It's funny, because the image seems very bright at first, but the girl's body language is really intense (and off balance in the composition - which makes it more intense) and you've made her look very thin and raw....I want to hug her or wrap her up in all that shiny hair...or give her cocoa.... I instantly knew what you'd meant from yesterday about that galaxies song....were you listening to it while working on this? ALSO you posted this ten hours ago so SHAME ON YOU.

ANYWAY what I mean is, it's really good...i like the colors....nice....

(LOL THAT WAS A JOKE GET IT?)

This sort of magic can't be taught. You just have to be BORN with it. So sorry, you're out of luck.

really though, you're such a baller in your own right that there's no need for such nonsense.

Also - I don't think universe-girl is into cocoa. But I'll take some ^^
