It's all so beautiful...I think I'm gonna cry...
People with your kind of talent make me want to throw out my sketchbook.
and I mean that in the most wonderful and positive of ways.

Oh sweetie... come here and let me love on you....
I was just looking at one of my old sketchbooks the other day (and I mean...old, not to date myself, but it's from like 15+ years ago), and my art when i first started out was crap. Well... let me correct myself, it wasn't crap, it was beginners art. You learn by doing, and something I love is being able to see the progression of skill as I better learned how bodies fit together, how proportion works, how to draw hair, eyes, clothing, etc. I know its hard when you're so close to it, but try not to hate your efforts. It really upsets me when I hear that people tear pages out of their sketchbooks or throw away their art because all I can think is that in 15 years they won't have anything to go back to to show themselves how far they've come.
We're our own worst critics. Always.
And if you're putting your effort and passion into a piece of art - that genuine effort and passion and dedication is beautiful, even if the art itself doesn't look the way you want it to yet.
(And one final word of wisdom: it will NEVER look 'the way you want it to yet'. You will always look at your art and think of how you could have done x, y, or z better. So try to love it for what it is ♥)
